In my future classroom, I will use data collection tools such as Qualtrics for quizzes and surveys. In terms of surveys, I would want to use them to either do personal check-ins for students at the beginning and end of each week, or as a way for students to share information in class or as homework assignments. For example, I would find surveys very helpful for assignments for scene work, or even for casting a show in terms of students sharing interest, conflicts, and contact information. I could also use surveys for parent outreach and for gaining insight on dates that may work well for field trips and performances.

Open educational resources (OER) are resources that are "open" to the public. In other terms, they are free to use by anyone and can be shared intellectual property. OERs are associated with five rights; retain, reuse, revise, remix, and redistribute, also know as the 5 R's. Some resources that are available to educators are OER Commons and OER Wikimedia. Ava's Blogs The main thing I learned during Assignment 4 was deeper knowledge of PowerPoint skills. I learned how to record my presentation directly on PowerPoint, which is something I wasn't even aware was possible before this project. I also learned about customizing my own slides in PowerPoint to get the exact layout I want and how to rename those layouts. And I feel like I gained a deeper understanding on how to create a clear and visually interesting PowerPoint for students that directly conveys the information I want to teach.

Ms. Ava's Theatre Class Website As far as AI tools go, I'm very hesitant to engage in those resources. I suppose that AI is naturally and gradually being integrated into our lives through other applications such as social media, but I tend to avoid intentionally using these tools. I know a lot of people use ChatGPT, for example, to write papers or create summaries of resources, but I don't feel motivated to use ChatGPT. I'd rather write my own content. As I stated above, I don't have much experience at all using ChatGPT. In fact, this assignment is my first time engaging with this software. I decided to have it write me a paragraph that answers the next prompt's question that I will attach below (and then answer the prompt myself). I find it almost startling that AI ca come up with information that quickly and that people use it to replace their own thoughts and work. I think this is a concern that would come up in the classroom as well, but I would try my best

Hello y'all! After doing some research on high schools that I'm aware of in both Tennessee and Florida, I'm finding that most school websites do not include links to teacher websites. In the faculty directories, it usually just lists the phone numbers and emails of the teachers. I do remember from my time in high school that when my teachers used their websites, it was mainly for summer reading/work or to keep parents updated. Since applications such as Google Classroom, Canvas, and Blackboard are becoming more and more common, it's less likely for teachers to use their websites for constant updates. Here is one of the websites I consulted for this information:  https://www.leonschools.net/leon In my classroom, I feel I will be most likely to use the standard connective applications I listed above, and also websites that allow me to connect with other teachers to gain inspiration for lesson plans or modules. I feel that collaboration within the teaching community, espe

When using Diigo this last week, I liked the interactive components of the application. I appreciated how simple it was to use the annotation tools and how I could easily interact with other people. The application is just a simple web browser extension which is very accessible when annotating different sources on my web browser. My only critique of Diigo is that the software feels a bit outdated. I think the extension could benefit from an update and makeover. I  have really enjoyed blogging so far. I think blogging is a great way to organize my concise thoughts about each module we have every week. It gives me an opportunity to share my opinions about different topics in educational technology. I also think that blogger is a very easy site to navigate. With all of the outside sources we have to embed into widgets, I have found it very straightforward to access those tools and simply embed whatever I need to.   As an educator, I think an interesting tool I would implement in my classr

Hello! This week I'll be discussing how Twitter (X) has become a valuable resource in my PLN. I created a new X account specifically as a personal education tool in order to follow educational accounts and not be distracted with my personal content. So far, I have found it very valuable to follow verified accounts who are reporting on educational technology. I haven't found many fellow students to interact with yet, but I'm sure the further we all develop our PNMs the more interactive the space will become.  The digital divide refers to the gap between students who have access to technology versus students who do not, and how that impacts their performance inside and outside of the classroom. Students who have unlimited access to technology are able to access learning materials, assignments, and educational resources that give them a much higher advantage than students who do not have unlimited access, or any access whatsoever, to the same resources. Beyond schooling, stud
